Conservatives should not assume that their political opponents are so powerful that nothing can be done. We should not assume those opponents are already defeated, either.
Both beliefs lead to the same result: people stop organizing and participating.
The left has a defined agenda and its unified sheep, while the right is sometimes too divided.
The November election is a test of whether conservatives will stand up for the policy changes the Trump administration is fighting for. Those policies must have continued support in Congress. The stakes are concrete: the midterms will determine which party holds a majority in the House and Senate for the next two years. (www.usa.gov)
Panicans are wrong. As Peggy Tierney said: “For those weak and whiny panicans and RINOs who can’t wait to wake up every morning and “scold” him for not being “appropriate” enough or moral enough or for not doing things the way they want him to - why don’t you first be honest with yourself and admit that you wouldn’t even have the courage to get out of bed if you had to face what that man has been through.”
And overconfidence is just as damaging. We can’t rest on our laurels. If literally saving America isn’t worth taking the time to vote, we are lost.
The direction of the country is at stake. Vote!
