Is it America the Beautiful? Is it a federal government overreaching land grab? I, for one, can no longer believe that the federal government has Americans’ best interests at heart. When I read dozens of articles - for both sides - and hear personal stories, I come away with conflicting information. And major conflicts in information, not minor.
I certainly have no confidence in the ‘spin’ that the government will preserve lands for the benefit of ordinary people. As we’ve seen, good intentions or not, government is not a good steward, and it’s almost impossible to hold anyone accountable. It’s all regulatory and administrative. There is no ‘one’ to even try to hold accountable. As proof, just consider the state of the U.S. southern border. Despite the Constitution, despite laws, despite processes, there has been complete loss of control of immigration.
Nevertheless, my purpose is to help you be informed so that you can use that information to further research, if you like, and to make your own judgement.
From American Stewards of Liberty:
The 30 x 30 program is a plan advanced by radical environmental activists to permanently protect 30% of America’s land and oceans by 2030. The program is being advanced by the Biden Administration through Executive Order 14008, “Tackling the Climate Crisis at Home and Abroad” (86 Fed. Reg. 7,619), signed January 27, 2021.Proponents argue that climate impacts are human-caused, and permanently preserving 30% of America’s land and oceans is necessary to reverse climate change. This action must be taken immediately, they claim, to avoid impacts on the ecosystem and wildlife. However, the science and data do not justify these extreme policy measures.
30 x 30 is an unconstitutional policy shift, moving us from a nation founded on private property principles to one controlled by the administrative state.

Texas Scorecard covered the American Stewards 30x30 Summit in September this year. Read that article here.
You will find this (54 minute) video, including the personal story of Margaret Byfield, very educational.

Now, for the Biden Administration side of the story: Here is America the Beautiful. Spotlighting the work to restore, connect and conserve 30 percent of lands and waters by 2030. You can read the full Executive Order here.
Also on the Yes-government-owning-30%- of-land-is-a-good-idea, I found this Fact Sheet put out by the New Mexico legislature, but it is undated so I don’t know how current it is.
Keep in mind this 30x30 plan includes ‘conserved’ waters too, not just land. Please note that so far, in spite of being asked more than once, the Biden administration has not defined what it means by ‘conserve’.
The most recent article I’ve seen is this from 12/2/2023.

I do know that Heritage Action is also pushing back against Natural Asset Companies (NACs). I am a Heritage Action Sentinel, and it’s been a topic on our weekly calls.
One more point: All this is being done in the name of climate change which is, in and of itself, completely controversial, and some believe the whole excuse for the government to exercise increasing control. Along with gas stoves, light bulbs, fossil fuels, electric vehicles, government-owned lands and waters will mean another decrease in the God-given freedoms protected by the Constitution.
So, do your due diligence, and feel free to let me know your thoughts.
Here’s another take on food shortages that are expected to get worse as farmers and ranchers lose their land: Salted ants. Ground crickets. Why you should try edible insects.

The Real Story of January 6 | Documentary
“The Real Story of January 6,” a documentary by The Epoch Times, reveals the truth that has been hidden from the American people. While a narrative has been set that what took place that day was an insurrection, key events and witnesses have been ignored until now. The documentary takes an unvarnished look at police use of force and the deaths that resulted in some measure from it. The film asks tough questions about who was responsible for the chaos that day. With compelling interviews and exclusive video footage, the documentary tells the real story of January 6. The film is narrated by Joshua Philipp, host of “Crossroads” on EpochTV and a senior investigative reporter at The Epoch Times. Capitol police Q&A.
Jasper Fakkert, editor-in-chief of The Epoch Times, said: “There has been a narrative perpetuated about January 6 that omits many of the facts about what happened that day.

The film takes a close look at the shooting of 35-year-old Air Force veteran Ashli Babbitt and the deaths of three other supporters of former President Donald J. Trump. It analyzes the police response to the massive crowds and use of force around the U.S. Capitol.

What Really Happened on January 6? | The Real Story of January 6 | Part 2 coming January 6, 2024
While the dust from Jan. 6, 2021, has long cleared, it has been replaced by a smoke screen. A carefully crafted narrative has been set that claims the events of that day amounted to a “violent insurrection.” This claim, however, does not match the facts. “The Real Story of January 6” takes an objective look at what happened through the eyes of those who were there. The Epoch Times provides the first comprehensive look into what really happened that day. The Truth can’t be hidden.
